*Hours: Full and Part time positions available*
*Salary Range: $20.00/hour*
*Position Summary:*
Responsible for assisting in the set up of all banquet functions including wedding/social and corporate meetings and events.
*Primary Responsibilities*
· Transport and setup tables, chairs, pipe and drape, podiums, flipcharts and other items needed for functions
· Quickly and efficiently setup/teardown meeting rooms according to BEO function sheet
· Setup/teardown wedding ceremonies according to BEO function sheet
· Setup/teardown wedding function rooms according to BEO function sheet
· Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout banquet space
· Quickly and efficiently set up and maintain coffee breaks for corporate groups
· Transport all necessary equipment for offsite catering
· Quickly and efficiently setup/teardown for offsite catering
· Follow all company standards and procedures
· Keep all services areas properly stocked and cleaned
· Provide prompt courteous service to all guests
· Help other banquet employees when needed
· Perform other duties as requested
· Need to be able to work a variety of shifts
· Responsible for sweeping & mopping banquet areas
· Potentially assist events as Banquet Server
*Professional Requirements:*
· Grade 12 is recommended.
· Second language is an asset.
· Hospitality experience is considered an asset.
· Good interpersonal skills and public relations.
· Self-motivated.
· Able to work unsupervised.
· Must be flexible for various shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
· Good organizational skills.
· Must comply with all Health & Safety guidelines.
· Eye for exceptional attention to details.
· Excellent hygiene is a necessity and standard.
· Excellent communication skills/educate.
· WHMIS, CPR, First Aid training and Smart Serve would be considered an asset.
· Clear Drivers Abstract and over 25 years of age for using company van considered an asset
· Police Clearance.
