The *Millwright* is responsible for repairing and maintaining all of production?s machines and equipment such as forklifts, mixers, conveyors, hydraulic / pneumatic systems, and general building maintenance.
*Job Responsibilities*
* Carryout preventative maintenance and inspections duties
* Read and interpret machine drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
* Troubleshoot Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Electrical circuits, PLC
* Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and irregularities
* Perform repairs, troubleshooting and maintenance on heavy equipment and industrial machinery
* Repair, Overhaul, Fabricate, Assemble, dismantle equipment using power tools, hand tools.
* Operate machine tools such as a Drill press and various cutting tools.
* Weld a variety of steel in all positions in the fabrication of fixtures and equipment repair.
* Ensure safety devices are operating properly on completion of repair
* Must be able to work at heights, confined spaces, and noisy environment
* Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances
*Qualifications*
* 2-year experience in an industrial environment.
* 2-year Welding and Fabrication experience preferred.
* Must be Certified as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) through an approved post-secondary institution.
* Working knowledge of Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electrical Controls and PLCs.
* Ability to work at heights, confined spaces, and noisy environment.
* Must be able to troubleshoot PLC and control asset.
* Must be able to work safely on their own and in a team environment.
* Good communication skills, both written and oral, and effective ability to follow directions.
* Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
* Able to read and use Vernier caliper and micrometer.
