*Job Title:* Casual Food Service Worker
*Job Description: *You will be responsible for performing duties related to residents dining and tray service, providing a home-like atmosphere in each of the dining areas. Along with serving, you assist in food preparation and are responsible for the safe operation, proper cleaning and care of all equipment within the department.
*Education Requested:*
* Food Service Worker course an asset
* Current Food Handlers and/or Advanced Food Safety course an asset
* Knowledge of therapeutic and normal nutrition
* WHMIS
*Experience Considered an Asset:*
* Previous Food Service Work
* Experience in long-term care or similar setting
* Knowledge of proper equipment usage and cleaning
* Enjoy working with seniors
* Possesses exemplary Customer Service skills
* Effective communication, both written and verbal, in English with residents, families and co-workers
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy in all aspects of the organization
* Reliable with good attendance and cheerful disposition
* Must take initiative and able to work with minimum supervision
* Respectful and hardworking team player
* Demonstrate the use of proper body mechanics
* Maintain a clean and sanitary environment
* Criminal Record Check including the Vulnerable Sector Screening in the last *3 months is required*
