*Cultivation Technician/Labourer Level 1*
*Report to: Cultivation Manager, Team Leads*
*HQ: Teeswater, ON*
The Cultivation Technician (Level 1) will care for cannabis plants in the vegetation and blooming stages, complete all post-harvest processes including trimming, drying, curing, and packaging. Cultivate high-quality cannabis flowers by working with a team of technicians to complete daily activities in an indoor/outdoor operation.
*Scope of Work:*
* Cultivate Cannabis indoors, in greenhouses and outdoors while adhering to all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
* Complete propagation, transplanting, plant maintenance, irrigation, harvesting, processing, and packaging as per Cultivation Manager or Team Lead direction
* Ability to work as part of a group or independently
* Willingness and able to learn new skills to ensure crop health while maintaining a cooperative work environment
* Complete sanitation tasks such a weekly cleans, full turn over sanitation, equipment cleaning, front of house and inhouse uniform laundry while upholding high quality standards
* Follow all company SOPs to maintain compliance with Health Canada Regulations in a GPP environment
* Maintain and complete all documentation in its entirety as per QA guidelines
*Qualifications:*
· Drivers license and reliable transportation is required for this position as the farm is located in a rural area
· Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task
· Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift equipment or plants up to 50 lbs. for extended periods. As well as the repetitive use of hands, wrists and forearms.
· Able to work in environments where temperatures range from 20 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius. Work outdoors in all weather conditions including hot, cold, rain and snow.
· Ability to work weekends, holidays and after hours as required. Hours will fluctuate based on the growing season and operational needs
· Must be of legal age and pass required Security Clearance to work in the industry. A mandatory criminal record check with the RCMP will be required prior to any offer being made. Must not have any criminal convictions or arrests involving drug-related offences
· Knowledge of plant care and farm and greenhouse work an asset
· Knowledge of farm equipment such as a tractor considered an asset
· Holder or a pesticide license in Ontario is an asset
· A passion of cannabis and/or cannabis cultivation and processing considered an asset
· Ability to possess or obtain Health Canada?s Security Clearance is an asset but not a necessity
