*Overview*
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience operating press brake machines. This role is crucial in ensuring the precision and quality of metal components used in various applications. The Press Brake Operator will work closely with engineers and other team members to produce high-quality parts that meet stringent specifications.
*Duties*
* Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal sheets according to specifications.
* Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine the correct setup and operation procedures.
* Utilize calipers and basic math skills to measure dimensions accurately and ensure quality control.
* Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines to ensure optimal performance.
* Collaborate with team members to assemble components as needed, ensuring all parts meet quality standards.
* Operate forklifts safely for material handling and transport within the facility.
* Troubleshoot issues with machinery and make adjustments as necessary to maintain production flow.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
*Experience*
* Proven experience operating press brake machines is required.
* Familiarity with CNC machinery, laser cutting processes, and lathe operations is a plus.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance on equipment.
* Previous experience in machining or metal fabrication environments preferred.
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
