Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Non-smoking. Work setting: Custom cabinet shop. Millwork shop. Tasks: Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made. Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints. Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics. Maintain clean and safe work environment. Area of specialization: Cabinets. Millwork. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Public transportation is not available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
