Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Agricultural machinery. Farm. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, trade-in allowances, warranties and delivery dates. Prepare sales or other contracts. Promote sales to existing clients. Identify and solicit potential clients. Assess client's needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services. Develop reports and proposals to illustrate benefits from use of good or service. Deliver sales presentations. Prepare and administer sales contracts. Use sales forecasting software. Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit client's needs. Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support. Train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment. Resolve product and service related problems. Troubleshoot problems related to equipment. Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service. Sales experience: Agricultural equipment. Transportation/travel information: Vehicle supplied by employer. Valid driver's licence.
