*POSITION SUMMARY*
The Badminton & Racquet Club of Toronto, a boutique downtown private club, is currently recruiting for an outgoing and dynamic personality that is customer-focused and has a minimum of 2-3-years of experience in the food service delivery industry to work in our brand-new, vibrant, and upscale dining facilities.
The role of the bartender is an integral position within the food and beverage department and is ultimately responsible for the smooth delivery beverage service and all that it entails. It is imperative that this individual have a customer service attitude, is able to make a wide-variety of alcoholic beverages, has barista experience, and has excellent wine knowledge.
*DUTIES*
· Greets and provides friendly, consistent, and friendly customer service.
* Provides beverage service to members and their guests in an accurate and timely manner.
· Has a hands-on approach to customer service with a positive, outgoing, sociable and professional attitude.
· Communicates and responds positively and efficiently to member complaints and suggestions and relays information to the Food and Beverage Floor Supervisor.
· Adheres to customer service standards.
· Maintains visibility to members and their guests during service.
· Has complete knowledge and is able to make a wide-variety of alcoholic beverages.
· Reacts to issues and emergencies in a professional and efficient manner.
· Has thorough knowledge of the POS systems, including ability to void, transfer and reopen closed shifts and chits.
· Completes accurate end-of-shift reports and forwards to F&B Supervisor.
· Attends pre-shift meetings to review menus, specials, events and Club activities or changes.
· Ensures areas are properly equipped and stocked for daily business.
· Adheres to club policies, procedures, COVID-19, and health and safety standards.
· Reports any maintenance problems to F&B Supervisor in a timely manner.
* Complies with the standards of the _Smart Serve_ program and the requirements of the _Liquor License Act of Ontario_.
* Ensures work area is kept clean, sanitary and tidy.
* Other duties as assigned.

*REQUIRED SKILLS:*
· Minimum of 3-years of experience in a similar environment
· Smart Serve certified
· Superior knowledge or beers, spirits, and wines
· Ability to take initiative, work under pressure, and make good decisions
· Excellent problem-solving skills
* Possesses computer literacy and efficiency and has good computer skills and excellent knowledge of a POS system. NorthStar POS system knowledge an asset
· Neat appearance and must conform to dress code standards
· Excellent communication and customer service skills, including diplomacy and tact.
* Excellent organization, cleanliness, and efficient skills
· First-aid, CPR, and AED certificate an asset.
· WHMIS 2015 (Global Harmonized System) an asset
· Health and safety training i.e., _Occupational Health and Safety for Workers in Ontario_ an asset
