Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. All weather conditions. Work setting: Various locations. Lawn care company. Landscape contractor. Construction. Tasks: Trim trees to achieve the desired pruning objective such as crown cleaning, thinning, raising, reduction, restoration, espalier pruning, vista pruning. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides and other lawn care products. Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions. Plan and co-ordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses and other purposes. Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens. Plant and move trees. Tree removal. Operate heavy equipment. Landscaping experience: Commercial and/or industrial construction. Construction specialization: Fieldstone paths. Interlocking brick. Ornamental ponds, fountains and waterfalls. Poured concrete. Retaining walls. Rock gardens. Stone garden walls. Irrigation and drainage. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Ability to distinguish between colours. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Flexibility. Reliability. Team player. Punctuality.
