*Specific Duties and responsibilities:* * Ensure safe and efficient operation of the equipment throughout the plant by performing general electrical repairs and preventative maintenance. Handles daily equipment inspections, maintenance and repairs, shift log paperwork. * Validates electrical standards are adhered to by staff. * Troubleshoots & makes appropriate repairs and coordinates appropriate repairs. * Reconstructs and modifies existing equipment to meet manufacturing, safety, and efficiency standards to improve plant efficiency. * Supports the installation and validation of new and/or transferred equipment coming into the facility. * Assists with line set up and dismantle initiatives from an electrical standpoint. * Designs, constructs and installs electrical components on related plant production, material handling, and packaging equipment etc., in accordance with electrical code. * Performs plant facility maintenance as required. * Supports other employees in all aspects of the setup and running of the equipment. * Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as required and completes the necessary documentation (PM work orders etc.) * Inspects, tests, and repairs as necessary internal power distribution systems. * Maintains equipment logs, documents equipment defects and repairs, records shift activities and unusual conditions and reports such to area supervisor or other maintenance personnel. * Will meet efficiency standards established for the position while ensuring internal/external customer requirements are met or exceeded. * Will participate on teams and/or committees as required. * Any and all other duties as may be assigned. *Required Qualifications:* * Valid forklift license; sit-down, standup, propane, scissor lift equipment experience a plus. * Valid industrial electrician certification. (442A) * Expert electrical/mechanical knowledge and progressive experience gained through maintenance electrical support in a manufacturing environment 3+ years * Able to use and navigate computer and computer applications (Email, MS Office) *Additional Qualifications:* * Wonderware inTouch and inbatch experience an asset- Robotic training/programming experience an asset. * Ethernet/devicenet/DH+ communication experience an asset. * Factory Talk/panelview/RS logix PLC programming experience an asset. * Knowledge of chemicals and chemical handling procedures * Organizational Skills: Ability to work in a paced environment, multitask, to take and follow directions, time management. * Adaptability: Adhere to changing priorities and deadlines. Can effectively cope with change; can shift gears comfortably. * Safety Focused: Dedicated to the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues. Maintaining a safe and respectful work environment. * Professional Communication Skills: Must communicate well with Solenis employees, visitors, vendors and customers. * Problem Solving: Analysis, problem solving and creativity. * Attention to Detail: Must be able to complete accurate data entry and develop accurate written materials. * Teamwork: Respectful, team player, collaborative, able to teach others. * Ability to work overtime, evenings and weekends where necessary.
