We are currently recruiting a Honing/Manual Machine Operator for our PCC Woodbridge Team.</p><p>We're looking for Team players who take pride in an honest day's work. As part of the Team, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skill set and make an impact. As a Honing Machine Operator, you will ensure the efficient operation of honing machines to meet customer specifications. This role involves operating and maintaining machinery to achieve quality standards and offers growth opportunities within our expanding company.</p><p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Setup the machine by using proper tools and setup sheets.</li><li> Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and measuring instruments.</li><li>Operate machine with proper guarding in place, report any damaged guarding, tool holders, tools etc. Check oil levels of machine and keep it in good condition.</li><li>Visual inspect parts for imperfections.</li><li>Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as manual lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.</li><li>Change tool length and diameter offsets, fixture and pallet offsets. Use proper feed and speed for maximum efficiency.</li><li>Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances</li><li> Follow the company Health and Safety Policy and practice safe working habits, industrial hygiene and good housekeeping around benches and machines.</li></ul><p>Qualification & Requirements:</p><ul><li>Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.</li><li>Ability to setup manual equipment.</li><li>Ability to read blue prints.</li><li>Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.</li><li>Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses and maintenance.</li><li>Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul></div>Company Description<div>Precision Castparts Corp. is owned by Berkshire Hathaway.
