Successful candidates will work alongside our lead arborists who combined have almost 10 years of experience. With the right work attitude, arborist assistants can move up to become arborist junior climbers within 3-6 months. *About Tree King:* Tree King is a full service tree care company which encourages the preservation of trees. Our combined expertise in residential and commercial jobs allows us to tackle jobs of any size, from the single tree in a client's backyard to a large contract. When completing a tree service, we use professional equipment and approved safety gear to eliminate the risk of personal injury and damage to property. Tree King also carries full liability insurance to provide our clients a stress free experience. *Position Details:* As an Arborist Assistant, you will assist the lead arborist climber with tree prunings, tree removals, and stump grinding. You will gain experience operating a wood chipper, articulated loader with grapple, chainsaw, and stump grinder. You will also assist with general job site clean-up, including raking. We will provide all the necessary training in order for you to be successful. Any physical labour experience is considered an asset but not required. Watch this short video to get an idea of what job sites would look like when working for Tree King: * https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMqairyTTlI *Position Requirements: * Arborist Assistant * Be able to arrive at our yard for 6:30 am daily (Monday - Friday) * Reliable transportation to our yard. * Available to work occasional weekends (only if rain delays occurred that week) * A valid G license, with clean driver's abstract * In good physical condition (must be able to repetitively lift up to 50lbs) * Ability to work outside in a physically demanding position * Safely operate all tools and equipment (full training provided) *Position Compensation:* We offer competitive wages based on experience ($22.00 - $27.00 per hour). Work which exceeds time frames and expectations will be rewarded with bonuses.
