Job details
Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer. Dental practice. Tasks: Conduct initial dental assessments. Consult with dentists on patient care. Take dental impressions. Instruct patients regarding oral hygiene. Clean and stimulate the gums to prevent gum disease. Apply fluoride treatment. Remove stains and deposits from teeth. Take, develop and mount X-rays. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Dental Hygienists Licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial governing body. Specialization or experience: Specialized environmental skills and knowledge. Security and safety: Eligible for professional liability insurance. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Manual dexterity. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Attention to detail. Sitting. Physically demanding.
