Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Dusty. Tasks: Professionalism in customer service. Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform brake adjustments. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Transport and handle dangerous goods. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AZ class license. Air Brakes Endorsement. Working at heights training. Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Bill of lading. Dangerous goods occurrence reports. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Trans-border documentation. Trip reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Dry bulk. Dump truck. Flatbed. Security and safety: Valid passport. Driving record check (abstract). Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence.
