CNC (computer numerically controlled) machine set-up operator - metal machining

Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Manufacture. Tasks: Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Prepare etching solution and immerse metal parts or workpiece into the etching solution to remove unwanted portions. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery. Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools. Clean and maintain work space. Area of work experience: Fabrication. Repetitive machining operation experience: Turning. Milling. Planing. Drilling. Grinding. Equipment: Single purpose production machine. Tapping machines. Form cutting machines. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Overtime required. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs). Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs). Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). More than 45 kg (100 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat.
