What you'll do:
This pivotal role will lead all sales and marketing efforts for a large convention or group hotel situated at the Toronto Airport, focusing on driving significant revenue and maximizing profitability. We seek a dynamic, results-oriented leader with a strong and demonstrable track record of success within the hotel sales and marketing sector, ideally with experience in the Toronto market.
* Develop and execute integrated strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve and exceed hotel revenue targets, specifically considering the Toronto Airport market dynamics.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales and marketing professionals.
* Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities within group sales, meetings, events, and transient segments, leveraging the hotel's airport location.
* Develop and implement marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and drive bookings, targeting both local and international travelers.
* Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key clients, industry partners, and local businesses within the Toronto Airport area.
* Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimize revenue and profitability.
* Analyze market trends, competitor activities (including other airport hotels), and marketing effectiveness to inform strategic decision-making.
* Prepare and present comprehensive sales and marketing reports to hotel leadership.
* Champion exceptional customer satisfaction through effective sales and service strategies tailored to airport hotel guests.
* Collaborate seamlessly with revenue management, catering, operations, and other hotel departments to ensure successful event and group booking execution, considering the logistical aspects of an airport location.
* Represent the hotel professionally at industry events and trade shows, including those relevant to the Toronto travel market.
