As a Driver at Shona Express Inc., you are responsible for transporting a variety of cargo in a straight truck while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and securing loads properly. Your role includes conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, managing delivery schedules, and operating the vehicle safely on various routes. You will operate company vehicles, adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations, and ensure that deliveries are completed efficiently and professionally. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and prior experience in a similar role. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential for success in this position. If you are a motivated individual with a passion for driving and a commitment to excellence, we want to hear from you.* *\*\*Responsibilities:\*\** * *Safely operate the straight truck to transport cargo to designated locations* * *Load and unload the cargo onto the truck, ensuring that they are secured properly for transport* * *Navigate delivery routes efficiently, using GPS and other navigation tools as needed* * *Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns from customers in a courteous and professional manner* * *Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies and procedures* * *Perform routine maintenance on company vehicles, such as checking oil levels and tire pressure, and report any issues to management* * *Complete delivery paperwork accurately and on time* \*\*Skills:\*\* * Valid DZ or AZ driver's license with a clean driving record * Prior experience in appliances and furniture delivery is preferred * Prior experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role preferred * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed * Attention to detail and a commitment to safety * Flexibility to work varying hours and weekends as needed This position offers competitive pay, opportunities for career advancement, and a supportive work environment.
