We are seeking a skilled and reliable *Painter* to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in *residential, commercial, industrial, and rental property painting*, and is confident working on both interior and exterior surfaces. You must demonstrate excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to follow project timelines. This role requires proficiency in surface preparation, blueprint reading, and communication with clients and team members. *WHMIS certification and strong time management skills are required.* *Responsibilities* * Prepare surfaces by sanding, patching drywall, caulking gaps, and applying primer as needed * Apply paint, stains, varnish, or specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, or sprayers * Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and client instructions to plan painting tasks * Work on walls, ceilings, doors, trims, exteriors, and specialty surfaces as required * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the project * Communicate professionally with clients and colleagues to ensure expectations are met * Work efficiently to meet project deadlines without compromising quality * Collaborate with other trades and team members on-site to complete full-scope renovation work *Experience & Requirements* * Proven experience in *residential, commercial, or industrial painting* * Knowledge of *drywall repair, surface prep, taping, and finishing* * Proficient in painting tools and equipment (brushes, rollers, sprayers, ladders, etc.) * Able to read construction plans and execute work accordingly * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Ability to manage time effectively and work under deadlines * Comfortable working independently or as part of a team * Must have *valid WHMIS certification* * G Driver?s License is an asset *Join us in transforming spaces with precision, passion, and professionalism.* Job Types: Full-time, Casual Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 ? 44 per week Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Experience: * Residential painting: 2 years (preferred) * Commercial painting: 2 years (preferred) * Construction painting: 2 years (preferred) Language: * English (preferred) Work Location: In person Application deadline: 2025-05-04
