Front Desk Agents must possess a positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service to our guests. The successful candidate must possess solid organization and communication skills, a strong sales approach and have the ability to balance various tasks and priorities. Attention to detail and a strong administrative background is an asset.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Check-in?s, check-out?s and handling all guest registrations
* Making and modifying reservations
* Hotel Operator and Concierge duties
* Collect payments, posting charges to guest accounts, cash and debit transactions, direct billing, maintaining a float, cashing out at end of shift.
* Ensure timely and accurate customer service at all times for in person guests and telephone calls.
* Handle complaints immediately, investigate the issues, determine a resolution, communicate with management, implement the resolution and follow up with guests.
* Troubleshoot emergencies (I.e. fire alarms). Assist with procedures required during emergency situations.
* Knowledge of hotel property and surrounding area
* Any other tasks assigned by the Front Desk Supervisor or Manager
Qualifications and Experience:
* Previous working experience with Opera computer system preferred
* Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related discipline is a strong asset
* Previous experience in a customer service position
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Exceptional computer skills
* Strong communication skills between guests, management and co-workers
* Must be able to work weekdays, weekends and holidays.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Proven ability in multi-tasking, organization, working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, working in fast paced environment with strong attention to details
* Exceptional conflict resolution skills in order to effectively deal with internal and external customers
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
