Successful candidates are expected to: <ul><li>understand the importance of supporting a welcoming environment; </li><li>present a positive attitude towards inclusion and diversity; </li><li>identify opportunities to support inclusion and diversity; and, </li><li>take meaningful action.</li></ul> Start Date: ASAP Shift: 4pm to 8pm, Monday to FridayQualifications:<ul><li>Ability to deal tactfully and cooperatively with public, students, staff</li><li>Proficient in the use of all hand tools and equipment</li><li>Good mechanical ability with strong capabilities in the area of troubleshooting</li><li>Good physical condition</li><li>Previous cleaning and floor care experience in a public facility</li><li>Self-directed, able to complete assigned tasks without supervision</li></ul>Duties (may include but are not limited to):<ul><li>Daily cleaning and disinfecting when students are in attendance </li><li>Special cleaning during school breaks</li><li>Minor repairs and maintenance</li><li>Operating mechanical equipment such as snow blower, lawn mower, power scrubber etc. </li><li>Yard work, including snow removal and lawn mowing </li><li>Extensive lifting may be required up to and including 20kg. </li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Defined Benefit Pension Plan</li><li>Employee benefit package</li><li>Positive work environment</li><li>Pay range: $21.17 to $23.76 per hour</li></ul>Applications will be accepted until position is filled.For more information about this position please email hr@chinooksd.ca.
