We are responsible for the policies, legislation, and regulations that guide Road Safety and operate in a proactive regulatory environment. In this capacity, the Deputy Registrar grants, suspends, or cancels driver's licenses, vehicle registrations, and business licences in accordance with the Act. Program area oversight includes driver record assessment, violations, and collisions. The Deputy Registrar conducts hearings as required by the Act and works with the Registrar and other Deputy Registrars in establishing policies and procedures. The Deputy Registrar is recognized as the Departmental expert on driver records and compliance and represents the Department on national and international committees in this regard.</span></span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"
