*Responsibilities:*
* *Application Intake & Deal Quoting:* Accurately assess incoming mortgage applications and provide timely and competitive deal quotes.
* *Collaboration with Fulfillment Officers:* Work closely with fulfillment officers to collect outstanding documents and satisfy any conditions as per the mortgage commitment.
* *Process Coordination:* Follow up with all parties involved in the mortgage process to ensure 100% coordination and a smooth transaction from start to finish.
* *Loan-to-Value (LTV) Analysis:* Perform thorough loan-to-value analysis to assess risk and compliance with underwriting guidelines.
* *GDS/TDS Cash Flow Review:* Review Gross Debt Service (GDS) and Total Debt Service (TDS) ratios and analyze borrower cash flow to ensure financial stability.
* *Review of Agreements and Appraisals:* Review Purchase & Sale Agreements, order appraisals, and thoroughly review appraisal reports to assess property value and risk.
* *Document Collection & Verification:* Collect and verify mortgage applications, credit reports, income documents (e.g., T4, T1, NOAs) for accuracy and completeness.
* *Income Document Familiarity:* Ensure a thorough understanding of key income documents, including T4s, T1s, and Notices of Assessment (NOAs), to evaluate borrower eligibility.
* *Client and Stakeholder Relations:* Maintain positive relationships with clients, lenders, third-party vendors, and other stakeholders throughout the underwriting process.
* *Networking & Representation:* Represent Kingsdale Mortgage at industry conferences, conventions, and other networking events to strengthen relationships and enhance brand presence.
*Qualifications:*
* Proven experience in *mortgage underwriting*, with a strong understanding of residential lending.
* *Mortgage Agent license* is required for this position. If you do not currently hold a license but are willing to obtain it within a short timeframe, we encourage you to apply.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly.
* Self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for deal origination and a commitment to client satisfaction.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, commission-driven environment, with a proactive approach to closing deals.
* *Full-time, onsite availability* is required for this role.
