*Position*
We are seeking an experienced Cardiologist to provide expert interpretation of cardiac diagnostics and contribute to the development of individualized care plans. This role involves close collaboration with internal clinicians and external healthcare partners, with a focus on clinical excellence and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical expertise, sound judgment, and a commitment to advancing patient outcomes in a collaborative setting.
*Job Duties*
* Review and interpret cardiovascular imaging studies, including echocardiograms, stress test and holter monitoring, to diagnose conditions such as heart disease, arrhythmias, etc.
* Conduct patient consultations based on diagnostic findings, providing clear explanations of diagnoses and outlining treatment options
* Develop personalized care plans in collaboration with other specialists to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered treatment
* Work closely with cardiologists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and discuss complex cases
* Educate patients on their cardiovascular conditions, potential risks, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies
* Promote healthy lifestyle changes and support patient adherence to prescribed treatment regimens
* Ensure the accuracy and quality of diagnostic results by staying current with advancements in cardiovascular imaging techniques and technologies
* Maintain thorough and accurate patient records, including diagnostic findings, treatment plans, and progress reports, in accordance with clinic policies and legal standards
*Required Experience and Education*
* Medical Degree (MD) from an accredited institution
* Completion of four to five years of specialty residency training in cardiology
* Independent licensure or eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
* Proven experience in interpreting cardiovascular diagnostic imaging, including echocardiography, stress testing, and MIBI
* Demonstrated expertise in patient consultation and management of cardiovascular diseases
* Strong knowledge of cardiovascular conditions and evidence-based treatments
* Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
