*University Optometric Clinic is currently seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and responsible individual to join our busy downtown Toronto office.*
*Successful Candidates must have the following:*
* Excellent command of verbal and written English Language.
* Professional and pleasant phone manner with the ability to handle patient queries.
* Genuine desire to help patient receive the care they need.
* Attention to detail, high quality of work and punctuality.
* Ability to take on different roles and responsibilities and to prioritize important tasks.
* To work well under pressure.
* Keep a cheerful disposition at all times with patients in waiting and other team members.
* Knowledge of medical terms in Ophthalmology.
*Duties would include:*
* Handling Front desk/Reception, emails and booking appointments.
* Updating patient's demographic information in the electronic file.
* Guiding the patient to the proper waiting area and the doctor.
* Sending referrals to specialists and following up.
* OHIP billings and validations.
* Maintaining Clinic's cleanliness and sanitizing testing areas and equipment.
* General administrative duties as per Clinic's requirements.
* To open and close clinic.
*Work experience in an optometric medical clinic for 1-2 years is definitely an asset.*
*Clinic hours 8:30AM- 5:30PM from Mondays to Thursday and 8:30AM to 4PM on Friday.*
Please note that this is a full time job. Training will be provided.
