*Grenning & Co.* is an accounting firm located in Stoney Creek, Ontario that provides corporate and personal clients with a variety of essential services, including bookkeeping, accounting, payroll and taxation. As a bookkeeper, you would be apart of a team that is responsible for the preparation of bookkeeping activities for our small-business clients. This includes the preparation of monthly bookkeeping, filing of HST reports, payroll, and other related tasks as needed. Additionally, providing support to the personal income tax preparers as needed during our busy season. We work hard and have a lot of fun!
*The following are responsibilities of the role:*
- Ability to perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Preparation of customer corporate payroll
- Preparation of monthly HST returns and payroll remittances
- Assisting the accounting team in the preparation of year-end financial statements.
- Communicating (email, phone) with clients and the Canada Revenue Agency on client's behalf
*Positions requirements*
- Post-secondary education in accounting, bookkeeping, or related field.
- Experience using *Quickbooks* and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient in time management, eager to learn, and takes ownership of work
*Proficiency in the following programs is an asset:*
- Simply Accounting and Sage 50
- Taxprep (T1, T2, T3, and Forms)
- Profile tax software
- Caseware
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
