Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Industrial. Manufacture. Shop fabrication. Fabrication. Tasks: Interpret welding process specifications. Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment. Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes. Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications. Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC). Operate hoisting and lifting equipment. Apprenticeship training: Pre-apprenticeship training. Level one apprenticeship training. Level two apprenticeship training. Level three apprenticeship training. Level four apprenticeship training. Level five apprenticeship training. Type of materials: Steel, iron and heavy metals. Welding techniques: Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW). Gas metal arc welding (GMAW). Flux core arc welding (FCAW). Type of trucking and equipment: Tractor-trailer. Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine. Gas welding machine. Type of industry experience: Metal fabrication. Area of specialization: Custom fabrication.
