*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the educational and developmental needs of young children in a nurturing classroom environment. Your primary focus will be to assist in planning and implementing engaging activities that promote learning and growth while ensuring a safe and inclusive space for all children, including those with disabilities. *Responsibilities* * Plan and implement developmentally-appropriate programming that aligns with "How Does Learning Happen". * Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. * Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their progress. * Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to support a collaborative learning community. * Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behaviour, and any concerns. * Support children with special needs or disabilities, adapting teaching methods as necessary. * Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness to ensure a conducive learning environment. * Collaborate with other educators to enhance curriculum delivery and share best practices. *Skills* * Strong experience in classroom management and early childhood education principles. * Ability to effectively educate and communicate with young children and their families. * Experience working with children of varying abilities, including those with special education needs. * Knowledge of child development theories and practices related to early childhood education. * Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
