Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Repair. Maintenance. Commercial facility. Retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre. Level of expertise: Operator. Tasks: Analyze test results and instrument readings. Complete and maintain plant logs and reports. Help with the installation, the assembly, and repairs to equipment. Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and to ensure plant systems are operating normally. Monitor and read recording instruments to detect equipment malfunctions and ensure plant systems and equipment are operating within prescribed limits. Start up and shut down power plant equipment. Operate automated or computerized control systems. Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance and safety activities. Issue work and test permits to electrical and mechanical maintenance personnel. Complete and maintain station records, logs and reports. Assist in the development of operation, maintenance and safety procedures. Assist during routine systems testing. Assist in locating and isolating system problems. Type of resources: Other hydrocarbons. Type of service and repair: Programmable logic controller (PLC).
