*Overview*
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment, with a focus on heavy machinery.
*Responsibilities*
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, and farm machinery.
* Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshoot electrical systems on various machinery.
* Operate forklifts and other power tools safely while performing repairs.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair needs and timelines.
* Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required during repairs or maintenance activities.
* Keep accurate records of maintenance performed and parts used.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role in industrial settings.
* Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
* Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery is preferred but not mandatory.
* Ability to dig into complex mechanical problems and provide effective solutions.
* Proficiency in using power tools and diagnostic equipment.
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
* Capability to perform heavy lifting as needed during repair processes.
* A valid driver?s license is required; additional certifications related to heavy equipment operation are a plus.
