Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Study market reports, trade periodicals and sales promotion materials. Establish and maintain contact with suppliers. Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms and transportation arrangements with suppliers. Oversee distribution of merchandise to outlets. Review requirements of establishment and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase. Select and purchase merchandise for resale. Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories and product design events. Personal suitability: Accurate. Client focus. Efficient interpersonal skills. Judgement. Screening questions: Are you currently a student?. Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?.
