Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Rural area. Nursing home/home for the aged. Tasks: Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort. Perform other duties related to personal care. Serve meal trays and feed patients. Weigh, lift, turn and position patients. Bathe, dress and groom patients. Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher. Answer call signals to determine patients' needs. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate. Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP) training. Continuing Care Assistant Certification. CPR Certificate. Nursing Aide Certificate. Health Care Aide Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Child Abuse Registry check. Immunization records. Adult Abuse Registry check. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Repetitive tasks. Physically demanding.
