Full-time Vacancy * *Area of Assignment:* Hospital & Premises *Basic Function and Scope: *As a member of a multidisciplinary team, the incumbent is responsible for layout, installation, repairing, finishing, and maintaining various structures, fixtures, and buildings. *Hours of Work: *Monday to Friday ? days (with flexibility to meet the needs of the hospital) *Pay Rate:* Will be in accordance with the S.E.I.U., Local 1 Canada Service Workers Collective Agreement for Carpenter Classification. *Qualifications: * *Education: * * Secondary School Graduation Diploma; * Ontario Certificate of Qualification for General Carpentry. *Experience: * * Experience with construction and/or renovation projects. *Required Skills: * * Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, courteously and tactfully; * Analytical and problem solving skills; * Knowledge of relevant building codes, legislation, regulations, policies and procedures installation and maintenance; * Computer skills including the ability to operate computerized spreadsheet, database and word processing, programs at a proficient level; * Ability to organize work assignments, meet deadlines and work independently; * Ability to work cooperatively with other trades; * Must have annual review education completed; * Must have previous proven good performance and attendance record. *Physical Requirements: * * The applicant must be able to meet the physical demands of this position. *We prioritize staff wellbeing at LACGH by endeavoring to create schedules that allow work-life balance, providing free parking to all staff, and our Employee Wellness Program The Lennox and Addington County General Hospital is an equal opportunity employer providing a barrier free workplace supported by the Hospital?s Accessibility Plan.
