*Overview*
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read and interpret schematics. The Welder/Fitter will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing various tools and machinery to ensure high-quality production standards.
*Duties*
* Weld metal components using various welding techniques, ensuring structural integrity and quality.
* Utilize calipers and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
* Build and assemble metal structures according to blueprints and schematics.
* Operate cranes for lifting heavy materials and components during the fabrication process.
* Fabricate parts using plasma cutting equipment as needed.
* Use a press brake machine for bending and shaping metal sheets.
* Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining safety standards.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
*Skills*
* Proficient in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) with a focus on quality workmanship.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
* Experience operating forklifts and cranes safely in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics effectively.
* Familiarity with plasma cutting processes and equipment operation.
* Competence in using calipers, measuring tools, and other fabrication equipment.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
