Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Diagnose and isolate faults on engines and motors. Document inspections and tests made on engines and motors. Estimate repair costs. Adjust, repair or replace parts using hand tools and equipment. Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Small Equipment Mechanic Trade Certification. Equipment and machinery experience: Diesel engines. Garden tractors. Gasoline-powered equipment. Lawn mowers. Outboard motors. Marine engines. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Personal suitability: Judgement. Reliability. Team player. Screening questions: Do you have the above-indicated required certifications?. What is the highest level of study you have completed?. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
