Looking for a FOOD SERVICE WORKER/DIETARY AIDE for a Long Term Care home! As a Food Service Worker/Dietary Aide, you will be essential in delivering high-quality meal service to residents in our Long Term Care Facility. Your core skills in food preparation and customer service will ensure that meals are not only nutritious but also enjoyable. You will be responsible for food handling and maintaining food safety standards, while your time management skills will help you efficiently serve meals. With a Food Handler Certification, you will contribute to a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, supporting the overall well-being of our Residents. Preference will be given to individuals who have successfully completed their Food Handlers Certificate from Public Health Unit and is current. 3 dose-Vaccination, Police check and TB testing required. _*STUDENT Friendly!! *_ * Responsibilities include: setting, clearing, cleaning of dishes portioning meal items as per resident/nursing request; making tea and coffee; laundry and waste removal * Must be able to read, write and accurately follow written and verbal instructions. * Must demonstrate proper food preparation and presentation for a variety of cultural preferences. * Must be knowledgeable about the Long-Term Care Act * Must be knowledgeable of special, therapeutic, and texture modified diets * Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand for majority of shift. * Must be able to work accurately, quickly, and safely. * Must be an effective team player that works well with others. * Must be able to work and communicate effectively with long-term care residents. * Benefits for those who meet Criteria outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement Looking to hire as soon as possible! _t__*ransportation/car required - public transit limited*__._ Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Pay: From $17.20 per hour Expected hours: 24 ? 45 per week Benefits: * Flexible schedule * On-site parking * Paid time off Flexible language requirement: * French not required Shift: * 8 hour shift * Afternoon shift * Day shift Work days: * Holidays * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: * Val Caron, ON P3N 1S7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Application question(s): * Do you currently reside on Manitoulin Island or general area Experience: * customer service: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Public Health Food Handler Certificate (required) Work Location: In person
