Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Rural area. Heritage/historical site. Interpretive centre. Museum. Tasks: Assist in the research, handling and storage of artifacts. Assist with the planning and development of travelling exhibitions and special events. Classify and assign registration numbers to artifacts and supervise inventory control. Conduct guided tours of museums, gallery exhibitions and historical, heritage and other sites, answer inquiries and provide information. Student status: Full time enrollment. Part time enrollment. Technical experience: Curatorial assisting. Exhibit preparation. Interpretation/guiding. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Personal suitability: Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Initiative. Organized.
