Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Odours. At heights. Noisy. Outdoors. Confined spaces. Wet/damp. Dusty. Hot. Work setting: Construction company. Various locations. Lawn care company. Landscape contractor. Private residence. Landscape maintenance. Tasks: Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements. Trim trees to achieve the desired pruning objective such as crown cleaning, thinning, raising, reduction, restoration, espalier pruning, vista pruning. Manage landscaping projects. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides and other lawn care products. Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions. Assess the health of lawns. Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens. Plant and move trees. Tree removal. Weed, prune and trim trees and plants. Remove litter and garbage. Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees. Lay sod or seed. Cut grass. Cart and spread topsoil and other materials. Assist with landscape constructions. Apply fertilizers. Rake and collect refuse. Equipment and machinery experience: Weed trimmer/edger. Small engine equipment. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads.
