Our industrial Mechanic (millwrights) install, maintain, troubleshoot, overhaul and repair stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in a commercial bakery. Del?s Pastry is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusion across all positions/departments. *General Information:* * Employer: Del?s Pastry Limited * Employer Contact Number: 416-231-4383 * Hours of Work: Full-Time (40-42.5 weekly hours) * Location: Etobicoke ON, Canada * Pay Period: Bi-Weekly * AI is not used in the screening process of resumes/applicants. *Responsibilities:* * Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. * Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools. * Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery. * Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions. * Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls. * Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts. * Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery. * Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools. * Perform preventive maintenance activities as assigned on all equipment and machines throughout the plant in conjunction with daily production requirements. * Fabricate parts and other equipment as per instructions or blueprint as required. * Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions * Assist industrial electricians (when necessary) installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in accordance with appropriate codes. * Work with variety of subcontractors * Recommending job improvements and alternative methods (problem solving) * Integral role in the Joint Health and Safety Committee * Ensure food safety remains high priority and is an ambassador for a food-safe culture * Other duties as required. *Teamwork* * Accountable for taking all necessary measures in ensuring all safety procedures, required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the policies outlined by Del?s Pastry, are being followed. * Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies * Communicates and coordinates with production team to maintain machines and equipment indicators *Qualifications* * Industrial Millwright 433A License OR equivalent * 2+ year of previous manufacturing experience required (preferably food manufacturing) * PLC competency required. * Able to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and expedite repair * Ability to work in a team environment and problem solve * Ability to work independently with minimal sup
