We provide a diverse range of roles across many locations and a career where you can make a meaningful impact.</span></p><strong>THE ROLE</strong><p><span>Under the direction of Quality Assurance Manager, the Senior Quality Assurance Specialist reviews statement of requirements and uses cases prepared by the business analysis section to ensure that the delivered automated system complies with the statements of requirements. They review functional specifications prepared by the application development section. They liaise with colleagues and other project team members to ensure that software solutions meet functional requirements. The Senior Quality Assurance Specialist participates in development of testing plans and strategies for software systems. They designs, prepares, documents and executes test cases, test scripts and checklists.</span></p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED</strong><p><span><strong><span>Education, Certifications and Licenses</span></strong> </span></p> <p><span>College diploma or certificate in Software Development, Computer Programming or a related field AND several years of experience in IT Quality Assurance.</span></p> <p><span><strong><span>Experience</span></strong></span></p> <p><span>In software QA and testing methodologies within system/networking/software development environments</span></p> <p><span>In reviewing statements of requirements, use cases and functional specifications</span></p> <p><span>In using Azure DevOps (Boards and Test Plans)</span></p> <p><span>In QA Automation frameworks and processes</span></p> <p><span>In integration testing</span></p> <p><span>In data migration testing</span></p> <p><span>In testing HRIS/HCM (Human Capital Management) systems</span></p> <p><span>In testing Workday and/or Accero, an asset</span></p> <p><span>In API testing</span></p> <p><span>In using AI for scripting and testing suppor<strong>t</strong></span></p> <p><span>In testing AI/ML systems</span></p> <p><span>In testing mobile, desktop and cloud apps</span></p> <p><span>In preparation of test plans, test cases and defect reporting</span></p> <p><span>In execution of test cases</span></p> <p><span>In documentation of test results</span></p> <p><span>In troubleshooting software defects</span></p> <p><span>In documenting and analyzing test results</span></p> <p><span>In producing status reports</span></p> <p><span>In applying policies, procedures, and regulations</span></p> <p><span><strong><span>Competencies, Skills and Abilities</span></strong></span></p> <p><span><span>Client </span><span>focus, </span><span>organizational </span><span>knowledge, </span><span>communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.</span> </span></p><strong>LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS</strong><p><span>English or French Essential / Bilingual <span>(English and French)</span> an asse- LocationOttawa, ON
