Education: Bachelor's degree. Work setting: General manufacturing. Tasks: Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables. Set up and adjust production machineries/tools. Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance. Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments. Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools. Equipment and machinery experience: Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Computer-aided design (CAD).
