Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables. Set up and adjust production machineries/tools. Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance. Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments. Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Overtime required. Personal suitability: Accurate. Dependability. Initiative. Team player. Quick learner. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Support for Indigenous people: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people.
