*Position Overview:*
We are seeking skilled and experienced *Mainline* *Heavy Equipment Operators *to join our operations team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in the successful completion of various infrastructure projects, including water and sewer reconstructions, road building, site development and other civil construction endeavors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects while working alongside skilled professionals in a fast-paced environment.
*Duties & Responsibilities*:
* Operate and maintain various types of equipment, including but not limited to bulldozers, excavators, backhoes, loaders, skid steers, and packers
* Work in an organized and safe manner according to the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and company policies
* Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance on equipment
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
* Adhere to project specifications and timelines
* Ensure proper use and storage of equipment
* Other duties as assigned
*Qualifications & Experience:*
* A minimum of 3 years previous *mainline* or *fine grade* experience operating heavy equipment is required
* Mechanical knowledge and understanding of equipment functions is essential
* Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment issues
* Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
* Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization on the construction site.
* Adhere to project schedules and deadlines.
* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
*Compensation & Benefits:*
* $38.48 - $43.08 per hour based on experience and qualifications plus 10% vacation pay.
