Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit. Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs. Take customers' orders. Stock refrigerators and salad bars. Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand. Remove kitchen garbage and trash. Package take-out food. Handle and store cleaning products. Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment. Prepare, heat and finish simple food items. Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas. Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. 3-4 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Food Safety Certificate. Safe Food Handling certificate. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Standing for extended periods. Attention to detail. Repetitive tasks. Personal suitability: Team player. Reliability. Positive attitude.
