Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: All weather conditions. Work setting: Commercial building. Manufacturing or processing industry. Tasks: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment. Perform safety and security checks. Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Work with minimal supervision. Maintain accurate records. Ensure compliance with government regulations. Co-ordinate activities with warehouse and production units. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records. Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Assemble stationary industrial machinery. Adjust, repair or replace mechanical system parts.
