Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Food safety/handling skills
  • Transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials
  • Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines
  • Feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers
  • Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers
  • Feed and unload processing machines
  • Check products and packaging for basic quality defects
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
  • Wrap and package prepared meats
  • Slice cooked meats
  • Set up and adjust processing and packaging machines
  • Prepare raw materials for mixing process
  • Place weighed materials in mixing machines
  • Package products
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control
  • Check products for quality control
  • Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met
  • Pack, weigh and stack bound and finished products on pallet for shipment
  • Read and interpret work orders
  • Check products and packaging for defects and to ensure conformance to company standards and perform corrective machine adjustments as required
  • Ensure hygiene and sanitation practices conform to policies and regulations
  • Review work orders
