Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Machinery installation. Maintenance. Repair. Overhaul. Shopwork. Tasks: Assemble mechanical equipment. Assemble stationary industrial machinery. Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Repair or replace defective machinery parts. Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up. Estimate costs and materials. Perform routine maintenance work on machinery. Installing machinery and equipment. Operate hoisting and lifting equipment. Commission systems and components. Repair or replace defective pressure vessel parts, such as safety valves or regulators. Install software and hardware and configure operating system software in preparation for testing. Prepare price quotations. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Forklift Operator Certification. Types of systems: Steam and condensate process lines. Equipment and machinery experience: Automated and robotic system. Conveyor. Fans and blowers. High speed packaging equipment. Industrial and stationary engine.
