Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy. Load and unload goods. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform brake adjustments. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Type of trucking and equipment: Dump truck. Tractor-trailer A train. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Travel expenses paid by employer. Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel for extended periods. Willing to travel overnight. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Large workload. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Sitting. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
