This role requires strict adherence to Manitoba's electrical codes and regulations. Candidates should demonstrate a strong foundational knowledge of electrical systems, a dedication to safety and a proactive willingness to learn from seasoned professionals. *Key Responsibilities: * * Following electrical codes and regulations in Manitoba to ensure all work is completed safely and correctly. * Learn from experienced professionals to develop skills in the electrical trade. * Maintain a clean and organised work area. * Help prepare job sites for installation of electrical systems and equipment. * Drive to and from job sites in a safe and efficient manner. *Specific job duties include: * * Assist in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment. * Assist in the testing of electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures. * Use a variety of hand and power tools, such as wire strippers and pliers, to work on electrical systems. * Help install and maintain lighting and control systems. * Assist in connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers or torah components. * Inspect electrical systems and equipment for any damage, defects or malfunctions. * Help diagnose and repair malfunctioning electrical systems and equipment. * Replace or repair damaged electrical components. * Other duties as requested by management. *Requirements:* * High school diploma or equivalent. * Level 2 or 3 Apprenticeship. * Enrollment in a recognized Apprenticeship Program for Electricians. * Ability to work well in a team environment. * Willing to work flexible hours willing to travel and work at remote sites for short contracts. * Solid understanding of basic electrical principles. * Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making skills. * Valid class 5 driver?s licence and reliable transportation. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Criminal Records check with vulnerable persons.
