*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents in our assisted living facility, nursing home, or hospital setting. You will play a vital role in ensuring that all dietary needs are met while providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. *Duties* * Assist in meal preparation and cooking according to established menus and dietary guidelines. * Serve meals to residents, ensuring proper portion sizes and presentation. * Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, dining rooms, and food service equipment. * Follow food safety protocols for food handling, storage, and preparation. * Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and address any resident dietary concerns. * Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed. * Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident needs and preferences regarding meals. * Support the overall cleanliness of the facility by participating in cleaning tasks as assigned. *Qualifications* * Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings is preferred. * Background in the food industry with knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques. * Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices is essential. * Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff. * Time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Experience in serving meals and handling food safely is highly desirable. * Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude. * Previous kitchen experience is a plus, along with knowledge of cleaning procedures for food service areas.
