Education: Bachelor's degree. Manufacturing engineering technology/technician. Engineering/industrial management. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Wood products manufacturer. Electrical products manufacturing company. Tasks: Develop production schedules and duty assignments to ensure proper functioning. Evaluate daily operations . Maintain an inventory of raw materials and finished products to prevent shortages. Plan and organize daily operations. Direct quality control inspections. Hire, supervise and train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques. Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work. Plan and manage the establishment of departmental budget. Work with minimal supervision. Supervision: 5-10 people. Contractors. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9000, 9001 quality management certified. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Computer and technology knowledge: Word processing software. Project management software. Inventory control software. AutoCAD. MS Excel. Industrial processes and products experience: Quality assurance and control. Type of industry experience: Fabricated metal. Electrical and electronics products. Area of specialization: Process improvement. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure.
